Ice Cube - to replace Mr T?
Rumours are rife that Ice Cube may be reuniting with John Singleton's to star in an upcoming remake of "The A Team". Ice Cube is said to play the role of B.A. Baracas (previous Mr T) according to Variety.
Twentieth Century Fox denies that Cube is being considered, and the studio says it hasn't even put a deal in place with John Singleton yet, although the two parties are currently in negotiations.
The script, meanwhile, has already been written by Jayson Rothwell and will update the 1980s NBC series by making the military vets from Iraq instead of Vietnam. The plot will have members of The A Team hunted by U.S. forces for a crime they didn't commit. Their adventures combine helping the innocent while running from the law. Also, Variety is reporting that the story has been given a modern twist by involving oil tycoons and laser technology.
