I need to make cookies for my class trooromw morning (I forgot a vocab word so I have to bring in treats) and I tend to be a slow cook so don't want to wake up at 6:00 in order to start them from scratch. I'm pretty sure I'm going to make snickerdoodles (if you have any other suggestions (besides chocolate chip I ran out of brown sugar) you're welcome to give them) and I could either mix together a few of the ingredients together like butter/vanilla/sugar and salt/flour/baking powder/etc. or I can make the dough now, put it in the fridge, and leave them out to reach room temp while I get ready to leave and then I can bake them before I go.Which should I do? If I should store them in the fridge overnight, how long do I need to leave them out, and will they still come out as good?Sorry for not being very clear; I mean I'm going to put the cookie dough in the fridge overnight and bake it in the morning, not the baked cookies in the fridge lol. I just like freshly baked cookies better anyway, which is why I want to bake them trooromw.
