Ice Cube - N.W.A Film
Ice Cube and John Singleton to Work on N.W.A. Biopic*John Singleton has proven to be a dynamic director and talent in the film industry.
In the last 10 years, he’s demonstrated versatility with movies like “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Four Brothers.”
He’s got another project that will return him to his directing roots and bring a lot of his original audience back to their seats. The filmmaker revealed that he’s working on reuniting with Ice Cube for an N.W.A. biopic.
“I can’t talk about it too prematurely about the stuff I’m doing because nothing’s come to fruition yet, but Cube and I are talking about doing the N.W.A. story,” Singleton told The Playlist. “The script is really, really good, and so we’re just figuring it out. New Line really wants to make it.”
Others on board for the project include Andrea Berloff, S. Leigh Savidge, Alan Wenkus, Matt Alvarez, David Engel, Bill Strauss, and Tomica Wright.
The proposed title of the film? Yep, you guessed it, “Straight Outta Compton.”
